If I could put a zero star rating I would!
My partner had never had an issue with his teeth and just wanted a check up, he came out with being told he needed 7! fillings. Had them done on a later date and had nothing but pain and problems since. They even charged him to have a filling put back in after falling out after 48 hours!

Don't bother trying to contact them via phone either. They never pick up the phone!
The reception staff... well they all look like they hate their jobs, rude and cannot be bothered to talk to you.

I would NEVER recommend the practice!!!!!!!

Dentists them selves are helpful enough but no more than one would expect. However, reception staff were aweful. Their attitude was rude, when we arrived they didn't look up from the computer and when they did acknowledge us it was a "be with you in two secs" from the older of the receptionists without even looking up from her computer screen. I wouldn't normally leave a review as scathingly bad as this but this is not the first time we have encountered the reception staff to behave in this way. Like I have said it's such a shame as the dentist's and nurses were excellent! They did all they could to make our little one feel at ease as it can be so scary for us adults let alone children.

Update:
What ever it is that's been done to improve the customer service it has not been successful! Tried to contact the practice around 4 times on two separate days. All instances have resulted being on the phone at least 10mins whilst it just rings and rings. So as it turns out even if you did want to call the practice manager over concerns or questions you can't. I suspect it would be easier get a direct phone line into the Pentagon than to get hold of Wallingford house dental practice!

after a dreadful start, I met with the manager who was extremely helpful and sympathetic, we discussed my problem and after a meeting with a dentist, it was decided that I should go to hospital for any major treatment, it does pay to complain and the staff are so helpful even if you have an unusual problem. thank you

Give up if you're trying to make an appointment over the phone it will take you up to half an hour to get through and more often than not they hang up on you when you do get through. If they're really that busy they need to employ more receptionist. Every time I go in there is really not that busy but when I call I can never get through. The dentist I saw was nice and pleasant but could have done better job explaining things

Dentists are not brilliant, easily flustered and quite often very young and just out of training, lacking experience. Reception staff are flighty and don't stay long especially the younger ones. The older staff are just miserable and rude and everything you expect from a bad receptionist. Will not be returning, seeking another dentist in the area.
